Seminar: Possibilities and micro-infrastructure in the Disko Bay-region

As a follow-up to the airport seminar in Ilulissat in October 2021, Qeqertalik Business Council now invites to a seminar in Aasiaat.

We look beyond Ilulissat and the airport expansion and will instead focus on the challenges, possibilities, and collaborative relationships of the outlying areas of Qeqertalik and Avannaata.

The theme is micro-infrastructure – tourist operators, accommodations, hotels, restaurants, boat connections between settlements etc.

There will be inspirational presentations from local and international tourist operators. Furthermore, there will be group working-sessions across sectors and municipalities about the following:

• How do we create the best conditions for securing that the airport expansion in Ilulissat will be a success for the outlying areas and the rest of the region around Disko Bay?
• What can we as operators do to inspire each other to grow – and new operators to start up?
• What common major challenges will we pass on to the political decision makers?

If you participate, you will get the opportunity to:

• Make new collaborations and relations across the regions
• Create concrete agreements on how you together can strengthen the micro-infrastructure of the region
• Share your ideas with decision makers and lift the common challenges to a political level
• Continue to strengthen our common brand as a region a tourist destination
