Even though the Arctic Summer in Disko Bay is here, the cities and settlements of Qeqertalik still offer many events for locals and visitors. Qeqertalik Business Council participates in several events with Destination Diskobay. Below you will find a list with the biggest events in Qeqertalik until September.

June

• Saligaatsoq 9^th of June, Aasiaat//14^th of June, Qasigiannguit: With CSR Greenland, Destination Diskobay coordinates the cleaning day in Aasiaat. Citizens and business owners join together to help the environment by collecting trash from the streets.
• Greenlandic Constitution Day 21st of June: Is celebrated all over Greenland with different events.
• Aasiaat Midnight Sun Marathon 24th of June: Runners can choose different routes around Aasiaat Island, and the run will take place under the midnight sun.
• Little Town Party – Aasiaat 25^th of June: Activities for children and families

July

• Qeqertarsuaq Festival – 8^th and 9^th of July: Music festival in Qeqertarsuaq with national and local musicians.
• Food Festival Qeqertarsuaq – 9^th of July: A possibility to taste local specialties.
• Qeqertarsuaq Race 8-10^th of July: A three-day race around the mountains of Qeqertarsuaq.
• Kulunguaq Run – Qasigiannguit 30^th of July: A trail run around Qasigiannguit followed by a party and live music. Kulunguaq was the main character of a book by local author Otto Rosing. The runners will take the same route as she ran from her settlement in the novel.

August

September

• Nipiaa Rock Festival – Aasiaat 2^nd and 3^rd of September: Live music and events at the sports arena. The festival existed for more than 20 years and always with great national musicians.
• Big Town Party – Aasiaat 3^rd of September: At the same time as the rock festival there will be a lot of activities for children and families in the city.

In the fall, the business council returns with more courses, workshops and events for the local business owners and entrepreneurs.
