Destination Diskobay A/S is seeking an engaged and proactive Destination Manager
Destination Diskobay A/S is the regional destination management organization under Qeqertalik Business Council A/S. We work to strengthen tourism as a competence-building and sustainable industry – for the benefit of our local communities, citizens, and visitors.
As Destination Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating and strengthening tourism efforts throughout the region. You will help develop our shared brand for the Disko Bay area and ensure that our unique destination becomes visible and attractive – locally, nationally, and internationally.
The position is based in Aasiaat but covers the entire region – you can expect approximately 70 travel days per year.

- Is independent and proactive, and thrives with responsibility in a dynamic organization
- Is strong in dialogue and relationship-building – across industries, cultures, and communities
- Has project management experience and can coordinate complex initiatives
- Is passionate about tourism and regional development
- Has a flair for communication, marketing, and social media
- Is fluent in Greenlandic, Danish, and English – both spoken and written
- Wants to make a difference in and for the Disko Bay region
Your responsibilities will include:
- Further developing a strong and shared brand for Destination Diskobay
- Creating close cooperation between municipalities, business councils, operators, and other stakeholders
- Mapping and analyzing the tourism potential of the region
- Ensuring alignment between national and local tourism strategies
- Developing and managing projects that promote the region’s visibility and attractiveness
- Contributing to the development of a joint tourism and business development plan
- Developing and maintaining the region’s digital destination platform
- Producing product catalogs and presentation materials
- Advising and supporting entrepreneurs and tourism stakeholders
- Representing the destination at fairs, networks, and courses
- Integrating sustainability into regional tourism development
