A new website with photos and stories from the region around Disko Bay supports tourism in becoming a profession that benefits society. The website has an international aim and connects tourists and local business community in the region.

Destination Diskobay is the destination management organization of the Qeqertalik municipality and is promoting sustainable tourism in the region. Now, Destination Diskobay has a new website – www.diskobay.gl. The website is internationally aimed with the intention to increase the knowing om Disko Bay as a tourist destination.

Through stories and photos from the four cities and settlements in the municipality, the website aims to catch the attention of tourists and furthermore lead their way to local websites with information of accommodation, experiences in the area, shopping opportunities and more. In that way, the new website connects the ties between tourists and the local community.

The new destination webpage is intended to be the “way in” for tourists who wish to explore the many opportunities the local communities offer. The beautiful photos on the website are taken by Visit Greenland as well as local business owners and citizens. Thus, the local communities contributes to inspire tourists to visit the towns and settlements of Disko Bay region.
